We regret that the range of baked goods on sale in recent weeks has been
somewhat limited.
But we are proud of the reason for this disruption.
Head Baker Ross Baxter, the creator of our fantastic range of cakes, and Pavel
Broz, our savouries specialist who makes those melt-in-your-mouth quiches, were
whisked away to be filmed for television.
Dunbar Community Bakery has been participating in a TV competition to find
Britain’s Best Bakery.
This entailed several visits to Dunbar by a film crew who captured The Bakery at
work. But Ross and Pavel were also called away at short notice to take part in a
series of baking competitions around the UK.
The good news is that filming has finished, the boys are back, and our bakery
production has returned to normal. You can once again find your full range of treats
on our shop shelves!
Thank you for your patience and apologies for the reduced range of goods on sale
since mid-August.
We would also like to say a special thank you to Natalie Helen, our recently arrived
number three baker. She kept the bread production going while the boys were away,
testing their skills against those of other top bakers across the country.
